The year was new as I well recall
As he looked up to me I felt so tall
He said my friend, it's time you knew
That I see Jesus in you
As I thought about this young man's words
It seemed so strange and quite absurd
With all my faults and earthly pride
How could he see the God inside of me
Like Moses on the holy ground
I longed to know what God had found
That He would deem to be worthwhile
The answer came, He said:

I stood in awe, my heart was still
To think that God chose me to fill
The empty place inside a heart
That life had torn apart
It felt so good to truly see
the change that God had caused through me
But through it all I must confess
All I did is just say yes to Him
God knows that we all will sin
So on a scale from one to ten
It doesn't matter where we've been
He will say again...
